I adore skincare products and now that I am getting older, I realize that I need products that can help maintain my skin’s elasticity and smoothness. I realized that my old products, while good, may just not be doing the job anymore so I decided to look around and find an anti-aging product that would suit my skin’s changing needs.
I look for youth serums but was astounded at the prices attached to them; I wanted to look younger but I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a product. So I looked and looked until I ended up with the L’Oreal Youth Code Serum. I’ve been using it for several weeks now and I think I have tested it long enough to give you my insights about it.
The very first thing I noticed about this product was that it was very similar to the Lancôme Genefique that I was given a sample of some months before; it just didn’t come with the massive price tag. I mean, given that Lancôme is owned by L’Oreal, I suppose it makes sense that they are similar.
I checked out the ingredients list and found that they contained nearly similar ingredients though Youth Code has a couple more skin loving products that was lacking in Genefique. Upon the first application, I noticed that the texture was kind of similar though Youth Code had a less slimy feel to it. It went on smoothly and did not leave any icky feeling of residue on my skin and this made makeup application smooth.
I really wanted to make sure that I had ample time to get this product to work before I gave you my thoughts about it and I must say that after several weeks of Youth Code, I have noticed the most magnificent results. I mean, my skin wasn’t at all that bad but now it has this glow and plumpness that it didn’t have before. I stare at my skin right after I wake up and I see this luminous glow that disappeared right when I left my teenage years. For the $19.99 I paid for it online, it was most definitely worth it. I am looking forward to trying the other products from this range!
